Please note: Heat Treated Citrine actually came out of the Earth as Amethyst. The Amethyst is then subjected to really high temperatures until the purple crystals turn yellow. Therefore, this is a crystal product that has been manipulated by humans.

Citrine is a variety of Quartz. The name Citrine is derived from the Latin word ‘citrine’, due to its pale yellow citrus colour. The yellow colour of natural Citrine is due to its Iron content. 
Historically, Citrine was also called ‘Sun Stone’ as this beautiful crystal was thought to be capable of holding sunlight.
